What's the proper reaction
When reuniting with someone
After a long time waiting?

I haven’t quite figured it out
Because every time I see their face
It feels as if we were never apart.

How do you react
To seeing someone again
When they consume your every moment?

When they never really leave your mind?
Leave your heart?
How should I react?

I don’t know.

All I know is how I feel
When you’re gone—
When you’re not next to me.

I don’t know how to act when I see you again.

But if I don’t know how to react to your presence—
Then I have no idea how to cope with your absence.
